Running a Public Relations Campaign As Guerrilla Warfare - Book Review

In today's world, companies have to move very fast to protect their brand names, and build up their reputations. All too often viral marketing can be a god send, or a negative viral detraction of your business is brand name, which can destroy you and all your hard work over many decades extremely quickly. Perhaps, this is why you need to think about running a public relations campaign using guerrilla tactics.
There is no doubt that you've pick up a book sometime in your business career called; Guerrilla Marketing. Well, there is also a book with the same format that talks about public relations and PR campaigns. If this interests you, I'd like to recommend an extremely excellent book which I own, and it gives quite simple instructions, tips, and techniques to help you in your business, no matter what size it is. The book is;
"Guerrilla PR; How You Can Wage an Effective Publicity Campaign without Going Broke" by Michael Levine, 1993.
Although Michael Levine is obviously a popularized business writer, his advice is completely sound, in the book he gives examples of guerrilla public relations campaigns used by; Movie Stars, NGOs, government agencies, and corporations. In fact, the book is stacked with many case studies, all just a few paragraphs long. It's a quick read, and I believe a must read for any small business person that wants to run a successful PR campaign, and then do it over and over, repeating as they go.
In Guerrilla Marketing he explains that you can do just as well as the movie stars, large corporations and even government agencies even though they all have resources to hire the best PR consultants, because he says there are certain fundamental principles that can work for any type of business, even a lemonade stand. For small businesses it is often about "PR versus marketing" and Mr. Levine gives you all you need to know and explains the tips and traps in working with the media. I very much believe you will enjoy this book. Therefore, I recommend it. Please consider all this.
